In the West Midlands, this includes the option of a transfer of PCC functions to the Mayor. The consent of the Combined Authority, each of the constituent councils of the Combined Authority and the Mayor are legal requirements for a transfer of functions to take place. The views of the PCC are a factor in any consideration.</p><p>The current Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, is supportive of combining both roles.
