star this property answer text <p>We are aware of a recent supply issue affecting Colesevelam (cholestagel) tablets. This was due to the manufacturer, Sanofi, experiencing distribution issues. However, these issues are now resolved and supplies of Colesevelam (cholestagel) tablets are available in volumes that are sufficient to meet normal United Kingdom demand.</p><p>Medicines shortages are an ongoing issue that the Department constantly manages.</p><p>Supply problems can arise for various reasons such as manufacturing issues, problems with raw ingredients and batch failures.</p><p>The Department has well established processes to manage and mitigate the small number of supply problems that may arise at any one time due to manufacturing or distribution issues.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Since 2014, community pharmacy contractors have been required to conduct 70% of the Medicines Use Reviews (MURs) that they undertake on the following target groups and data is collected accordingly:</p><p>- Patients taking high-risk medicines (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anticoagulants, antiplatelets and diuretics);</p><p>- Patients recently discharged from hospital;</p><p>- Patients prescribed a respiratory drug, as specified; and</p><p>- Patients regularly prescribed four or more medicines, at least one of which is for a risk of cardiovascular disease, as specified.</p><p>Specific data is not collected on the remaining 30% and so it is not possible to say how many people taking medicines for Parkinson’s disease have received an MUR.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Following the Grenfell fire, enhanced health checks were introduced as a result of community concerns. The health checks are delivered though general practitioner practices and a community provider.</p><p>Since the health checks were established, 1,097 assessments have taken place (to July 2019). Of the 1,097 assessments that have taken place, 52 related to children and young people up to the age of 18. The remainder were adults. The precise age of those individuals assessed has not been collected at this stage but is something that will be considered going forward.</p><p>On Wednesday 14 June 2017, London Ambulance Service reported 68 casualties had been conveyed to hospitals from Grenfell Tower.</p><p>Additional National Health Service funding will provide up to £50 million over five years to support physical and mental health services as well as systematic health checks in the Grenfell area.</p> more like this
