Of these, 13 are serving police officers: 11 in the rank of Inspector and two in the rank of Constable (the latter having resigned from the scheme and re-joined as Constables)</p><p>• 21 people started the direct entry to inspector scheme in 2017. Of these, 16 are serving police officers who are part way through the programme. The aim of creating a National Academy is to build an evidence base and promote research into this important area, in order to help the National Health Service become a pioneer for social prescription.</p><p>Following a roundtable with a wide range of stakeholders held earlier this year, the Academy Management Board has been established to help shape the National Academy. The first meeting of the Board was held last month. A range of organisations are represented on the Board. Since 2017, the Post Office has had an agreement with the main high street banks, which enables 99% of personal banking customers and 95% of SME banking customers to carry out their everyday banking at any one of their 11,500 branches across the UK. The Government has invested over £2bn in the Post Office since 2010 to protect and maintain the network.</p><p>The Government also believes that having a bank account is key to enabling people to manage their money on a day-to-day basis effectively, securely and confidently. The statutory guidance is clear that at the secondary level, RSE includes teaching about sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDs. Teaching should also include HIV prevention and the importance of testing, as well as how and where to access advice and treatment.</p><p> </p><p>Schools are free to decide which resources to use and the Department entrusts headteachers with responsibility for making those decisions. The guidance is clear that schools should draw on medically accurate information and set this in the broader context of the subjects.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is committed to supporting schools to teach the new subjects to a high standard. The Department will continue to work with subject experts to ensure that schools are supported in improving their practice, focusing on an implementation guide, support for training needs and materials.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has announced a budget of £6 million in the 2019-20 financial year to develop this programme of support for schools.
