answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/07/2019 answer text <p>As a Government Major Project, the 100,000 Genomes Project has been under regular review by the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) which provides independent assurance of the most complex and strategically significant projects across Government. As part of this, the 100,000 Genomes Project has undergone several significant reviews which considered the Project’s delivery, requiring the collation of extensive documentation evidencing the progress of the Project and several days of interviews with key stakeholders. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2019 answer text <p>Public Health England’s evidence review ‘The Public Health Burden of Alcohol and the Effectiveness and Cost-Effectiveness of Alcohol Control Policies’ highlighted that in the English population, rates of alcohol-specific and related mortality increase as levels of deprivation increase and alcohol-related liver disease is strongly related to the socioeconomic gradient.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan signalled our support for improving treatment for patients in deprived areas with expert Alcohol Care Teams working in the 25% worst affected parts of the country supporting patients and their families who have issues with alcohol misuse. It is estimated that these new measures could prevent 50,000 admissions and almost 250,000 bed days over the next five years. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2019 answer text <p>The Mid and South Essex Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) has set out proposals to change how they provide specialist care across the three hospitals in their STP, to improve access for their population. The proposals are currently under review by the Independent Reconfiguration Panel.</p><p>The proposals include the development of a ‘treat and transfer’ model which would allow a small number of patients within specified conditions to be stabilised at their local accident and emergency department and then, if appropriate, transferred using a specialist clinical transfer service to a different hospital to receive ongoing specialist treatment and care. If this model is utilised, it is anticipated that 15 additional patients each day could be transferred, increasing the total number transferred each day to 29.</p><p>As the proposals are currently subject to a referral to the Independent Reconfiguration Panel, the commissioning of any service will not commence prior to the resolution of that process. The Mid and South Essex STP has secured £118 million of capital investment to support these plans. The NIHR supports a wide portfolio of research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through various funding streams. In the United Kingdom, investment includes £32 million of capital funding to support AMR research, £19.1 million for AMR research at four NIHR Biomedical Research Centres, and £8.8 million for two NIHR Health Protection Research Units on Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance.</p><p>The NIHR also supports research into AMR in low and middle-income countries (LMICs), with official development assistance (ODA) funding through the NIHR Global Health Research programme. Investment includes support for the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Genomic Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance, and the NIHR Global Health Research Group on Genomic Surveillance of Malaria in West Africa.</p><p>Working through partnerships with other UK funders, the NIHR Global Health Research programme also supports cross-Research Council initiatives including one led by the Medical Research Council for research into AMR in a global context, and another led by the Economic and Social Research Council to expand understanding of how behaviour within and beyond the healthcare system impacts on AMR.</p><p>In addition, the Department has allocated over £50 million of ODA over five years to AMR research through the Global AMR Innovation Fund. The Defence Cyber School, which celebrated its first year anniversary in March this year, is a centre of excellence for cyber training established to meet the needs of defence and its partners, addressing all aspects of cyber training and education.</p><p>Since it's opening, the Defence Cyber School has delivered over 4,000 days of training to personnel across its range of courses. Training has been wide ranging from practical networking taught to Junior and Senior Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), cyber awareness to Senior NCOs, officers and strategic level cyber awareness to one-star masterclasses.</p><p>It is essential that we continue to operate effectively in the fast-moving and evolving digital world. The Defence Cyber School team, in an exciting step for the cyber community, are currently redesigning all their courses. This includes smoking and family history, taking account of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Recruits also receive a full clinical examination.</p><p>In addition to this, Army recruits have an electrocardiogram and, when clinically indicated, a transthoracic cardiac echo is performed. While we do this, we will not grant any new licences for exports to Saudi Arabia and its coalition partners (UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Egypt) for possible use in the conflict in Yemen. We disagree with the judgment and are seeking permission to appeal.</p><p> </p><p>Extant licences are not immediately affected by this judgment but decisions about these licences are remitted to the Government to reconsider in the light of the judgment. The Campaign Against Arms Trade did not seek an Order to suspend licences and the Court has not ordered their suspension.
