Where dedicated separate entrances or waiting areas are not available, court staff will make alternative arrangements wherever possible.</p><p> </p><p>(2) In the family court over 300 protective screens have been provided over the last two years to ensure that vulnerable parties and witnesses can be shielded from an alleged abuser in the courtroom. Video links may also be used either from a secure location within the court building or from a remote location. Use of these facilities must be approved by the Judge. Use of telephone hearings for without notice Family Law Act injunction hearings is being encouraged to avoid the need for victims of domestic abuse to attend court.</p><p> </p><p>We are determined that the family courts should never be used to further or perpetrate abuse. However, police forces in England and Wales provide the Home Office with data on the number of offences recorded of Assault or assault by beating of a constable or emergency worker that resulted in a charge.</p><p>Between 13 November 2018 to 31 December 2018, there were 947 offences recorded under the Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Act 2018 that resulted in a charge. Representatives from the sector were invited to discuss the issues facing migrant women affected by domestic abuse and the opportunities to tackle these issues.</p><p>The Government recognises that there are victims of domestic abuse who need additional support independently from that of their spouse / partner. We will continue to engage with domestic abuse survivors and representatives from the sector as part of our further work on the Bill.</p><p>The Destitute Domestic Violence Concession (DDVC), enables eligible migrants the option of claiming welfare benefits. This is to provide immediate crisis support to eligible migrants who claim to be victims of domestic abuse and are destitute as a result. To be eligible, applicants must be the spouse, or partner of someone who is British or permanently settled in the United Kingdom.</p><p>We have also provided Southall Black Sisters with £250 000, via the Tampon Tax, to pilot a fund to assist those who have no recourse to public funds and are suffering abuse. The findings from that project will help guide future policy reviews.</p><p>As part of our consultation on the future delivery of domestic abuse support in accommodation based services, we propose introducing a statutory duty, underpinned by statutory guidance which will clearly outline the expectations Government has for local authorities in delivering the duty. This includes outlining specific consideration of the support needs of diverse groups of victims.</p><p>We will work with local authorities to understand whether the new duty will incur additional costs and to ensure that local authorities are adequately funded to discharge it. We estimate an early broad annual cost of around £90 million which the Secretary of State communicated to the House of Commons on the 13 May. This means that any report based on a view of the service at a given date may well be inaccurate only a short period afterwards.</p><p> </p><p>This is the case with this Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) report. The report does not take into account recent changes to the Universal Credit Statement which ensures that claimants receive detailed information about any deductions which have been made to their Universal Credit award, including a clear breakdown of what each deduction is for. Guidance is in place for Prescribed Persons and we review the list annually.</p><p>The most recent reform was a new legislative requirement for most prescribed persons to produce an annual report on whistleblowing disclosures made to them by workers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2019 answer text <p>The Department of Health and Social Care is leading on the Prime Minister’s Mission to “Use data, Artificial Intelligence and innovation to transform the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases by 2030.” We hope that as we work towards this overall goal, we can ensure that: patients experience better care, clinicians deliver better care, commissioners are better able to commission data-driven technologies and the United Kingdom is a great place to do business in artificial intelligence (AI) for health and care.</p><p>We are working in partnership with organisations across the National Health Service, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Office for Life Sciences, Office for Artificial Intelligence and Better Regulation Executive to engage with businesses in the sector so that we benefit from the potential for AI to improve care, deliver better outcomes, contribute to efficiency in the health and care system and contribute to the wider economy. In September 2018, we published the Code of Conduct for Data-Driven Health and Care Technology, which clearly sets out the behaviours we expect from those developing AI and related technologies. The Code was updated in February 2019 based on feedback, including from industry partners, and we are working with them to develop case studies showing good practice in complying with the Code. We are also developing tools to help businesses comply with the Code of Conduct.</p><p>The Office for Artificial Intelligence and UK Research and Innovation have announced centres for doctoral training in AI-enabled healthcare across the UK.</p><p>The Office for Life Sciences has established five Centres of Excellence in digital pathology and radiology with AI, supported by an initial £50 million Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund investment and a further £50 million of scale up funding from the Department of Health and Social Care. The analysis summarises theory and evidence that openness to trade can increase productivity and long-term growth by exposing firms to competition, best practice, new technologies and through investment. This can contribute to higher wages, employment and households' living standards. A reduction in trade volumes between countries would be expected to lower productivity and long-term growth. In the Government’s analysis a no deal scenario is estimated to lower long-run GDP by 9% to 6% compared with today’s arrangements. In the analysis, this reflects the combined impact of trade frictions which reduce trade and affect firms' gross output, their productivity and households' purchasing power.</p><p>The Bank of England’s EU Withdrawal Scenarios and Monetary and Financial Stability report (published November 2018) also found that openness to trade affects productivity. The report’s disorderly exit scenario found a ‘large’ reduction in productivity.</p><p>These analyses are scenarios not forecasts. The UK is well placed to be a global leader in hydrogen and fuel cell powered transportation due to our high-quality engineering and manufacturing capability in relevant supply chains. We will support the development of the infrastructure for hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles, recognising that the market is at an early stage of development. We are doing this through initiatives such as the £23m Hydrogen for Transport programme, which will increase the uptake of fuel cell electric vehicles and expand hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.</p><p> </p><p>The Government set out its view on the relative environmental performance of different fuels in the Road to Zero Strategy. This was based on an independently verified assessment of the fuels and technologies available to consumers, with consideration given to both greenhouse gas and air-pollutant emissions over the period to 2050. This analysis suggests that hydrogen fuel cell technology could have a role in supporting the transition to zero emission transport alongside battery electric technology.
