That is why it has provided over £240 million so far to help fund the cleanest buses, and in February 2019 announced the winners of a £48 million scheme which will fund a further 263 zero emission buses. Currently 17% of the UK bus fleet is low emission and 1% is zero emission. In 2018 4.2% of all new bus orders were for a zero-emission bus. Though the number of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles on UK roads is still in the early hundreds, we have seen some exciting developments with the technology.</p><p> </p><p>The Mayor of London recently announced the first fleet of hydrogen double decker buses in the world and a number of companies are also developing hydrogen fuelled trains which may one day run up and down our network. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/06/2019 answer text <p>The Airports National Policy Statement is clear that any application for development consent must include details of how the applicant will achieve a wide range of mitigations, including public transport mode share targets.</p><p> </p><p>Mitigations included in a Development Consent Order or recommended as a result of examination will become requirements that are enforceable under the Planning Act 2008. The detail of these requirements, including any penalties, will flow from the planning process, but could include financial provision for remedial measures or operating restrictions. We now need to carefully consider this advice and the recommended policy approach for aviation that the CCC will produce later in 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The Airports National Policy Statement sets out several strict environmental red lines that must be delivered for a third runway to gain development consent.
