<p>The Electoral Commission registers political parties and maintains the registers of political parties in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is independent of the Government and accountable to Parliament.</p><p>The Electoral Commission publishes a database of registered political parties on its website. This includes whether a political party is also a campaigner. Further information can be found at: http://search.electoralcommission.org.uk.</p>
