Between 2016 and 2017, the UK has contributed €30 billion to the annual EU budget, and received €13 billion in receipts to both the public and private sector.</p><p>Additionally, HM Treasury produce an annual European Finances Statement which details the UK’s contribution to the EU over the past year. As the Prime Minister said in her statement to Parliament, we do not want to see Article 50 extended. By far the best way forward is for Parliament to agree to leave with a deal when we bring the Meaningful Vote back. Securing continuity is the strongest foundation on which to build further on our successful trading relationship.</p><p> </p><p>The UK and Israel have an important trading relationship, which we are committed to strengthening through our dedicated trade promotion team at our Embassy in Israel. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/03/2019 answer text <p>As the UK exits the EU, we are seeking to replicate the effects of the EU’s Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with the Southern African Customs Union and Mozambique (SACU+M), which includes Eswatini (Swaziland), as soon as possible. EPAs aim to promote increased trade and investment, supporting sustainable growth and poverty reduction.</p><p> </p><p>As the Prime Minister set out during her visit to Africa last Summer, the Government is committed to seeing a step change in our relationship with Africa in order to drive forward trade and investment.</p><p> </p><p>The Prime Minister also announced that the UK will launch a new Prosperity Fund programme of up to £8 million that will support implementation of the transitioned EPA.</p><p> </p><p>The funding will aim to increase trade with and within Southern Africa by helping to remove barriers to trade, and in doing so expand import and export opportunities for UK and African businesses. If the UK leaves the EU with a deal, then the UK will remain party to the agreements it is already part of by virtue of its EU membership, including with Mexico.</p><p> </p><p>Published on the 21<sup>st</sup> February, My Rt Hon friend, Dr Liam Fox, laid before the house a written statement, and information for business, outlining the current status of these agreements in the context of a no deal. The UK Government is also committed to ensuring these prospective benefits are maintained as we leave the EU.
