answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/02/2019 answer text <p>The Long Term Plan identifies the need to “redesign services so that over the next five years, patients will be able to avoid up to a third of face-to-face outpatient visits, removing the need for up to 30 million outpatient visits a year”. The work on outpatients is aimed at improving the patient experience, simplifying the process and where appropriate, enabling digital alternatives to attending a clinic in person.</p><p> </p><p>The implementation plan for delivering the Long Term Plan and this commitment is in the process of being developed and will build on:</p><p>- The work hospitals are already developing in new models of care such as in Tower Hamlets Chronic Kidney Disease e-Clinics;</p><p>- The elective care transformation programme’s extensive work reviewing different models of outpatients across various specialties and the work to review productivity, capacity and shift to digital; and</p><p>- Clinical improvement identified by the Getting It Right First Time programme.</p> answering member constituency Wimbledon answering member printed Stephen Hammond question first answered 08/02/2019 12:48:04 answering member 1585 label Biography information for Stephen Hammond

question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what his policy is on supporting assistance dog owners in public transport spaces.

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/02/2019 answer text <p>Assistance dogs play a vital role in helping their owners to travel independently, confidently and in safety, and it is essential that they are granted access to public transport services.</p><p> </p><p>Specific legislation and conditions of carriage protect assistance dog owners travelling on transport modes, by air, sea, and on land, and I urge authorities responsible for enforcing the rules to challenge discriminatory behaviour effectively.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has committed in its Inclusive Transport Strategy to raising public and transport staff awareness of the rights and needs of disabled passengers, so that everyone, including those travelling with assistance dogs, can reach their destination easily, confidently and at no additional cost.</p> answering member constituency Wealden answering member printed Ms Nusrat Ghani question first answered 08/02/2019 13:42:58 answering member 4460 label Biography information for Ms Nusrat Ghani
