<p>The Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill will end
free movement and provide the legal framework for the future border and immigration
system. The measures in the Bill are primarily focused on preparing the UK to exit
the EU.</p><p><br>We continue to look at issues relating to detention, including the
numbers of people who are detained prior to removal and the size of the estate, to
ensure we have a detention system that is fair to those who may be detained, upholds
our immigration policies and acts as a deterrent to those who might seek to frustrate
these policies.</p>
