	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/01/2019 answer text <p>Landowners and private groups across England can apply to Natural England for a licence to vaccinate badgers against TB. Animal &amp; Plant Health Agency (APHA) provides training for those who wish undertake such vaccination and Defra provides financial support for projects within the Edge Area under the Badger Edge Vaccination Scheme (BEVS).</p><p>BEVS, relaunched in 2018 following a global vaccine shortage, provides matched funding and training for groups that want to take part. Three groups were successful with their applications in 2018. On 13 September 2018 we re-opened the scheme and asked for expressions of interest from those wishing to apply to vaccinate from 2019. The application process closes on 25 January 2019.</p><p>A long-standing research programme at APHA to identify an oral vaccine and a palatable bait in which to deliver it is also ongoing. An efficacy study is currently in progress, with results due later this year.</p><p>We are currently considering the report of the TB Strategy review, conducted by a team led by Professor Sir Charles Godfray, the scope of which includes badger vaccination. The number of BCG doses made available for badger vaccination was limited in 2017 due to a global shortage and the need to prioritise supplies for human vaccination. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/01/2019 answer text <p>The National Crime Agency undertakes an assessment of county lines which provides a picture of the scale and scope of the threat.</p><p>The assessments do not include the number of gangs but they do include an estimate of the number of active ‘deal lines’ operating in England and Wales. The anonymous deal lines may be operated by individuals or groups. The previous assessment was published in November 2017 and conservatively estimated that there were at least 720 lines. NABIS produce quarterly reports on the threat, but their assessment is continuous and key information is shared amongst law enforcement on a real time basis. This information is operationally sensitive and not published.</p><p>We are continuing to deliver the Strategic Defence and Security Review commitment to choke off the supply and availability of illegal firearms to prevent their use by criminal or terrorist groups in the UK. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2019 answer text <p>The Department for Transport and Highways England have been considering how best to take forward the A12 scheme, in the light of concerns raised by the Planning Inspector in June 2018 regarding the proposed Garden Community at Marks Tey and its interaction with the A12 scheme.</p><p>Highways England have been working closely with Essex County Council and the North Essex authorities to find the best approach to delivering the A12 scheme that takes account of wider growth in the region and achieves value for money. To extract this data would require a review of each separate case file to track their progress on licence.</p><p>Public protection is our priority and recall is used to ensure that offenders on licence who present a high risk of harm to the public or are at risk of re-offending are returned to custody as quickly as possible.</p><p> </p><p>Offenders on licence are subject to strict licence conditions, which are designed to enable the Probation Service to manage the risk that offenders may pose on release from prison and to safeguard public protection.
