<p>The analysis used economic values from official Government and Department for Transport Appraisal Guidance (TAG), Table A 4.1.1: Average value of prevention per casualty by severity and element of cost.</p><p>The economic values were approximately £1.6m for a fatal casualty and £0.18m for a serious casualty (2010 prices, 2015 TAG version).</p>
