star this property answer text <p>Detention Services Order (DSO) 01/2016 sets out the Home Office’s policy on the protection, use and sharing of detainees’ medical information. As set out in this DSO the medical record is a confidential document and is the property of the detainee.</p><p>In the case of an unescorted removal, the medical record is handed over to the detainee at the point of boarding the aircraft. During an escorted removal, the escort staff will hold the record until the end of the escort, when it is given over to the detainee before they are received by their own authorities. If the detainee does not want the record, the escort staff will return it to the UK where it will be securely stored.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>At the HASC evidence session on Tuesday 15 May, the Home Secretary committed to providing the HASC with regular updates on the work of the department in relation to Windrush. The most recent update was published on 17 December 2018 and Annex A provides a Financial Overview of the Windrush Initiative up to and including Period 7 of the Financial Year 2018/19.</p><p>Data would only be accurate at the time it was generated, with any answer potentially being inaccurate at the time of release. Providing a running commentary on the estimate of the cost to the public purse would not be cost and resource effective.</p> more like this

No other organisations have access to the personal information of applicants to the EU Settlement Scheme. star this property answer text <p>It is expected that the majority of applicants to the EU Settlement Scheme will be able to prove their UK residence using the automated cross-Government checks with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and the Department for Work and Pensions. Those wishing to provide bank statements as evidence of UK residence may be able to do so free of charge by using their bank’s self-service online facilities and submitting them digitally with their application.</p><p>There are no plans to discuss this specific issue with banks but the banking industry is represented by UK Finance at one of the Home Office’s monthly stakeholder groups at which all elements of the EU Settlement Scheme’s design are discussed.</p> more like this
