answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/09/2018 answer text <p>We are aware of the report by Imperial College London entitled ‘<em>Palm oil supply chain complexities impedes implementation of corporate no-deforestation commitments.</em>’</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Although we have no plans to formally assess the report, the Government’s 25 Year Environment Plan makes clear the UK’s commitment to supporting the implementation of deforestation-free supply chains for key commodities, including palm oil, working with a broad range of stakeholders.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are a co-signatory to the Amsterdam Declarations, which are political agreements that aim to support the implementation of private sector commitments on deforestation and sustainable palm oil. Members of staff across the Department for Work and Pensions provide advice and analysis on EU Exit issues as required.</p><p> </p><p>Given the interactions between EU exit work and the Department’s other priorities, it is not possible to provide the information requested. We can confirm that no additional funding has been sought or provided to the Department by HM Treasury for EU exit preparations.</p><p> </p><p>HM Treasury has assigned over £2 billion of additional funding to departments and the Devolved Administrations for EU exit preparations so far. At Autumn Budget 2017, the Chancellor set aside £1.5 billion of additional funding for EU Exit preparations in 2019/20. Departments will be invited to bid for 2019/20 EU Exit preparation funding later in the year. The Department for Exiting the European Union is undertaking detailed work and is primarily responsible for overseeing negotiations to leave the EU and establishing the future relationship between the UK and EU.</p><p>Cabinet Office staff continue to work closely with officials in the Department for Exiting the as European Union.</p><p>Members of staff across Cabinet Office also provide advice and analysis on EU Exit issues as required.
