	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2018 answer text <p>The 2016 Cost-Benefit Analysis shows that after all costs have been considered, the rollout of smart meters overall is set to deliver £5.7bn of benefits over the lifetime of the programme. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2018 answer text <p>The Government’s objective from the start of the rollout has been for SMETS1 meters to be enrolled into the Data and Communications Company (DCC), so that consumers can keep their smart services when they switch energy supplier.
