star this property answer text <p>Pay spine points for teachers were discontinued in 2013 and replaced by pay ranges. A teacher can be paid any salary within their range, the amount paid being at the discretion of the employing school. An academy may elect not to use the standard pay ranges but may instead pay teachers using their own range.</p><p> </p><p>The number of teachers in state funded schools paid on each pay range, as at November 2016, is shown in the attached table.</p> more like this
