We will then have the opportunity, over time, to ensure our legislative framework is outcome driven and delivers on our overall commitment of improving the environment within a generation.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has a long history of environmental protection and we will safeguard and improve on this record. Since her government took office in April 2016, at least 160 political prisoners have been released. However, we estimate there are still 47 political prisoners. The military has an extensive and opaque range of business interests. Services and goods provided by military-linked companies range from drinking water to port handling services. For many services used by the British Embassy, the choice of providers is very limited.
