This is a pilot scheme which we are running to assess the benefits and impacts of such an approach more broadly. These include:Ability to marry and forced marriage prevention policies that directly support healthy couple formation, facilitating civil ceremonies beyond register offices, marriages in accordance with religious beliefs, same sex marriage, data sharing on marriage services, and protection against coercion.</p><p>Birth and marriage registration policies that directly support co-parenting, facilitating both parents being able to acknowledge parental responsibility in a range of scenarios, and which allow children to know both their parents.</p><p>Birth legislation and policy that supports the inclusion of fathers’ details in all birth registrations, as far as practicable. Immigration family policy that helps avoid family breakdown by allowing non-EEA partners, children, parents and adult dependents to join or remain in the UK with a British citizen or person settled in the UK.</p><p>Domestic abuse policy that indirectly helps reduce family breakdown, supporting victims and their families who have suffered abuse, and ensuring perpetrators are dealt with effectively. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/12/2017 answer text <p><del class="ministerial">It is our assessment that no legislation taken forward by the Northern Ireland Office since August 2014 has required the application of the Family Test by the UK Government.</del></p><p> </p><p><del class="ministerial">The Government is committed to supporting families. To achieve this, in 2014 we introduced the Family Test, which aims to ensure that impacts on family relationships and functioning are recognised early on during the process of policy development and help inform the policy decisions made by Ministers. The Family Test was not designed to be a ‘tick-box’ exercise, and as such there is no requirement for departments to publish the results of assessments made under the Family Test.</del></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><ins class="ministerial">Many of the policy areas linked to strengthening families in Northern Ireland are devolved matters. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2018 answer text <p>The safety and security of our prisons must always take priority and action to address retention rates are being taken forward as part of the government’s plan to increase the number of prison officers by 2,500, to improve safety and security. We have already recruited 1,255 extra prison officers over the past year. Exit interviews and qualitative analysis has helped to build an understanding of why prison officers leave the Service.</p><p> </p><p>We are actively working with our prisons to drive positive change in the prisons with the highest attrition rates. This includes the appointment of 75 additional prison officer mentors to support our new staff alongside working proactively with Governors to take local action based on the common themes identified.</p><p> </p><p>We have invested in in 5,600 body-worn cameras to help protect our prison staff, alongside training to improve interactions with prisoners. These will provide high-quality evidence to support prosecutions brought against prisoners. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/12/2017 answer text <p>As part of our work preparing to make a success of our departure from the European Union, we are carrying out a broad range of analysis as you would expect a responsible Government to do.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Officials across government engage regularly on regional issues to ensure each department’s work programmes consider the impact of Brexit on regions and nations of the UK, including Yorkshire. In the last year three present and former DExEU ministers visited Yorkshire. In October, the Secretary of State and the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Steve Baker met with the Northern Combined Authority Mayors in York. Prior to that, former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Lord Bridges hosted a roundtable in Leeds with Yorkshire business leaders and visited a manufacturing site.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>As we move into the second phase of negotiations we are confident of agreeing a bold and ambitious Free Trade Agreement with the EU that is of greater scope than any such existing agreement. We believe that securing a future partnership between the UK and EU is in the interests of both sides, so we approach these negotiations anticipating success.
