That is why our new programme of work on domestic abuse will look at how to better support all those affected by domestic abuse with a specific focus on children.</p><p>The National Oversight Group on domestic abuse, chaired by the Home Secretary, shares learning from innovative practice designed to tackle domestic abuse such as Operation Encompass. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/12/2017 answer text <p>The Home Office does not collect data on the number of police forces who employ police chaplains.</p><p>The Home Office does collect data annually on the function of police staff, including the number of full time equivalent staff employed in support functions. Within the support functions category is those in ‘Human Resources’ roles, which includes chaplaincy. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/12/2017 answer text <p>As set out in the Policing Protocol Order 2011, it is for police forces, in line with the strategic direction and objectives set by the democratically elected Police and Crime Commissioner through their police and crime plan, to determine how best to use their investigative resources. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/11/2017 answer text <p><ins class="ministerial">During 2016, there were 26 instances of additional days awarded as a punishment following an adjudication at HM Prison Bedford, totalling 411 additional days.</ins><del class="ministerial">The number of additional days awarded to prisoners at HM Prison Bedford as a result of adjudications in 2016 was 26.</del></p><p> </p><p>Discipline procedures are central to the maintenance of a safe custodial environment. They are provided for by the Prison and Young Offender Institution Rules, which require adjudications to be conducted lawfully, fairly and justly. Independent Adjudicators are District Judges or Deputy District Judges who attend prisons and young offender institutions when necessary to hear those adjudication cases which are deemed to be sufficiently serious. Such cases may merit a punishment of additional days to a prisoner’s time spent in custody if the prisoner or young person is found guilty. Only Independent Adjudicators can make an award of additional days as a punishment.
