All trusts that provide surgical care automatically provide a peri-operative care pathway.</p><p> </p><p>The Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Royal College of Surgeons have supported the introduction of Enhanced Recovery to improve peri-operative care and this is being actively promoted through RightCare guidance to commissioners and through the Getting It Right First Time Programme for hospitals. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2017 answer text <p>We have no plans to make changes to the national curriculum, but our Supporting Mental Health in Schools and Colleges survey, published in August 2017, sets out information on what schools are already doing to promote good mental health and well-being through teaching and pastoral support.</p><p>We are considering how we can build on this strong base to improve the support that is provided to children and young people in schools and will include proposals in the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Green Paper to be published by the end of this year.</p><p>In particular, as required by the Children and Social Work Act 2017, we are taking work forward to develop regulations and associate guidance for mandatory Relationships Education in primary schools and Relationships and Sex Education in secondary schools. The content of the guidance will include the role of physical and mental well-being in forming and maintaining healthy relationships. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2017 answer text <p>Services are expected to work together to plan transition effectively and to meet the needs of young people, as well as their families and carers.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England published its Model Specification for Transitions from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, in January 2015, to support better transition planning and delivery by local providers.</p><p> </p><p>Transition from children and young people’s mental health services has also been included as one of 13 mandatory national indicators in the Commissioning for Quality and Innovation scheme (2017/19). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2017 answer text <p>The shared National Health Service planning guidance sets out what clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and providers have to do in 2017/18 and 2018/19. For children and young people’s mental health services, this includes a requirement to increase access, so that 70,000 more people receive specialist treatment nationally by 2020, and to expand eating disorder services so that the new waiting time standard is met.</p><p> </p><p>A joint letter to CCGs and trusts sent by NHS England Directors on 27 February 2017 specifically asked for confirmation that funds for children and young people were being used for the purpose intended.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England published, for the first time in October 2016, a new integrated Five Year Forward View for Mental Health Dashboard. This shows what each CCG is spending on children’s mental health services.</p><p> </p><p>This Mental Health Dashboard is designed to improve the transparency and accountability of CCGs, both to NHS England and to the populations they serve.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England’s Mental Health Investment Standard requires CCGs to increase their mental health spend in line with their overall increase in allocation each year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2017 answer text <p>By 2021 the National Health Service in England could have around 14,500 new Nursing Associates available for employment, across a range of health and care settings, including mental health. Responsibility for staffing levels rests with individual NHS trusts and their boards who are best placed to decide how many staff and what skill mix they need.</p><p> </p><p>There are currently 2,000 Nursing Associates in training within 35 Health Education England Pilots, due to complete and become qualified Nursing Associates in 2019. Test sites bring together a wide range of organisations including acute, community and mental health settings and have been designed to ensure they are representative of the different settings where Nursing Associates, once qualified will care for patients.</p><p> </p><p>Nursing associates are an England only role.
