<p>The carina hearing device is a cochlear implant which is currently available through
the National Health Service. It is only considered to be suitable for a small number
of patients, and is available through a number of auditory implant centres including
Oxford, Sheffield and Cambridge.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS England Specialised Ear Surgery
