The UK has joined other Council of Europe member states in a debate on the Yukos case within the Committee of Ministers whenever it has been on the agenda. The Committee of Ministers is next due to discuss its supervision of the judgment at its December meeting.</p> more like this

The UK Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe raised our concerns directly with the Russian Permanent Representative on 11 October, and we will continue to call on Russia to abide by Court judgments. The use of any formal measures, available under Article 46, would be a decision for all member states following detailed discussion. ​</p> more like this

We funded and facilitated the independent report on Children in Military Custody by leading British lawyers. Ministers and our Ambassador to Israel have strongly urged Israel to implement the recommendations it made. I again raised our concerns over the issue of children in detention with the Israeli authorities during my recent visit between 22-23 August.</p> more like this
