The UK has joined other Council of Europe member states in a debate on the Yukos case within the Committee of Ministers whenever it has been on the agenda. The UK Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe raised our concerns directly with the Russian Permanent Representative on 11 October, and we will continue to call on Russia to abide by Court judgments. We funded and facilitated the independent report on Children in Military Custody by leading British lawyers. Ministers and our Ambassador to Israel have strongly urged Israel to implement the recommendations it made.
