This has risen from 58% in 2015. The proportion of two-year-olds benefitting from funded early education places by local authority is set out in Table 5LA of the Statistical First Release (SFR) Education provision: children under 5 years of age, January 2017 at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/education-provision-children-under-5-years-of-age-january-2017" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/education-provision-children-under-5-years-of-age-january-2017</a>.</p><p>The proportion of two-year-olds not benefitting from funded early education places by local authority (part c of PQ 4170 and PQ 4173) can be derived from this table. We do not hold data on the proportion of two-year-olds eligible for 15-hours free childcare who are not accessing this provision by ethnicity, SEND, gender or social class (part a, b, d and e of PQ 4170).</p><p> </p><p>Table 10LA provides the number and percentage of two-year-old children benefitting from funded early education, including settings rated requires improvement and inadequate (PQ 4172) in 2017. Ninety six percent of two-year-olds benefitting from funded early education were in settings rated good or outstanding.
