answer text <p>At present, citizens can contact their local Electoral Registration Officer to determine whether they are on the register. The Government recognises that duplicate applications pose an administrative challenge. For this reason, we are currently gathering information about the scale of the challenge and working with administrators to understand the impact it has on their work.
