answer text <p>The information requested is not held by the Department.</p><p> </p><p>The General Medical Council (GMC) is the independent regulator of doctors in the United Kingdom. The GMC has confirmed that although it holds data on the number of doctors who have applied for a certificate of current professional status to work aboard, it does not hold data on the number of doctors registered to practise in the UK who actually go abroad to work in medicine.</p> more like this
