On Thursday 12 March 2015, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse was set up with statutory powers under the 2005 Inquiries Act. The Terms of Reference were published on the same date and are attached. The Terms of Reference set out that the Inquiry must produce regular reports and an interim report by the end of 2018.
