answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/03/2015 answer text <p>HMRC has revised the appeals process, in order to align it with that of DWP in advance of the migration of tax credits claimants to Universal Credit. Since 6 April 2014, there has been a new stage in the process called mandatory reconsideration (MR). Now if a claimant disagrees with an HMRC tax credit decision, they are required to ask HMRC to look at its decision again and revise it where appropriate. This change was introduced to enable more disputes to be resolved as early as possible in the decision making process.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Mandatory reconsideration was introduced on 6 April 2014. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/03/2015 answer text <p>The COMPASS contracts contain robust provisions to ensure that providers meet the contractual standards relating to the provision of accommodation and transport.<br><br>The Home Office works closely with Serco to continually monitor the compliance processes to ensure that accommodation remains of an acceptable standard. Serco has invested significantly to update its property portfolio and transportation service and now routinely achieves the standards of accommodation and transport required within the contract.<br><br>Serco faced some difficulties in the second half of 2014 which necessitated the use of contingency accommodation. We will, for the first time, be supporting people in low-paid work to take active steps to increase their earnings.</p><p> </p><p>Universal Credit substantially improves the incentives to work.
