<p>Work between the Department for Transport and Rail North to develop the specification for the Northern franchise is ongoing. This work is taking account of all relevant data and the views expressed in responses to the public consultation. The train service and other requirements for the franchise, including those relating to Reddish South and Denton, will be set out in the Invitation to Tender. We expect to publish this early this year.</p>
