Friend the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills to vary or revoke export licences at any time. The 2008 Order does not specify the grounds on which a licence may be revoked. In practice the reasons include:</p><p> </p><p>(i) As a result of the imposition of EU or UN sanctions;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(ii) Where there has been a change in Government policy in respect of the export of certain goods, or the export of specified goods to a certain destination, and the proposed export is no longer consistent with the revised policy;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(iii) Where there has been a change in circumstances in the destination country or region such that the proposed export is no longer consistent with the Consolidated EU and National Arms Export Licensing Criteria or with other relevant, announced, policies;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(iv) Where new information has come to light about a particular export which indicates that the proposed export is no longer consistent with the Consolidated EU and National Arms Export Licensing Criteria or with other relevant, announced, policies;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(v) Where an exporter has failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the licence, or as a result of enforcement action by HMRC/UK Border Agency; and</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(vi) For administrative reasons, such as a company ceasing to trade and therefore no longer being able to use the licence, or where the exporter requests an amendment to a licence and revoking and re-issuing it is simpler than making an amendment.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency West Suffolk answering member printed Matthew Hancock question first answered 04/12/2014 15:44:17 answering member 4070 label Biography information for Matt Hancock

The first two campaigns in 2012 and 2013 resulted in £380 million incremental spend generated by domestic visitors across Britain. A third campaign was launched at the end of March 2014. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2014 answer text <p>The Superfast Broadband Programme focuses on providing coverage to ‘white areas’ as defined by State aid, where there is currently no superfast availability. ‘Grey areas’ have coverage of one provider and ‘black areas’ have coverage of more than one provider.</p><p> </p><p>Superfast coverage in urban areas continues to improve with investment predominantly made by the commercial sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2014 answer text <p>Considerable progress has been made in establishing the Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) as the regulator for the new single source procurement framework. The Chair of the new body was formally appointed in May 2014 and non-executive directors were appointed in October. The SSRO held its first Board meeting on 13 October. The new body is in the process of recruiting staff, establishing its new offices in Finlaison House, and setting up its processes and IT systems. It has also been consulting closely with key stakeholders in industry and in Government over its role as the independent regulator. The SSRO issued its first newsletter in mid-November highlighting progress already made and its plans over the next few months. This is available on the gov.uk website.</p><p>The budget for the SSRO in the financial year 2014-2015 has been set at £2.9 million.</p><p>Secondary legislation to enable the new single source procurement framework is currently being considered by Parliament, having been laid at the end of October. In order to facilitate the implementation of the new framework, when it comes into force, it will initially only cover new qualifying defence contracts with a value of £500 million or more with this threshold falling to new qualifying defence contracts with a value of £5 million or more as from the end of March 2015 onwards.
