The most recent published data covers the period up to 30 June 2014 and can be found at: <br><br><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/temporary-and-permanent-migration-data-august-2014" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/temporary-and-permanent-migration-data-august-2014</a> <br><br>As at 30 June, the Home Office had made more than 1800 refusal and removal decisions, carried out almost 800 enforcement visits, detained over 300 <br>individuals and removed over 90.<br><br>We are unable to break the number of individuals who have been removed into sub groups based on the institution of study as this runs the risk of making those individuals identifiable. In addition to this the data that would be required to make the requested breakdown is not available from one source and would incur disproportionate costs to gather it manually. <br><br>As I stated to the House on 24 June, the Home Office will provide regularupdates to the House. Ofcom auctioned 800 MHz and 2600 MHz spectrum in January/February 2013 for 4G mobile broadband services including for a licence won by Telefonica O2 which included a coverage obligation to reach 98% of the UK population indoors by the end of 2017. All four mobile network operators had launched 4G mobile broadband services by the end of 2013 and all are aiming to reach 98% of the UK population by the end of 2015.</p><p>According to Ofcom’s Infrastructure Report 2013 Update, over 99% of UK premises were served by at least one operator offering 3G services, with almost 80% of premises served by all operators. That report did not provide figures for 4G mobile broadband coverage although EE claims coverage of over 75% of the UK population with its 4G services. The PPRS limits growth in the vast majority of spend on branded medicines with industry making payments for spend above the agreed limit;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>- by providing stability and predictability to the Government and the pharmaceutical industry thereby promoting a strong and profitable pharmaceutical industry which encourages innovation and the development of high value treatments; and</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>- by a number of agreed measure to improve access to branded medicines commensurate with the outcomes they offer patients.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Sales of new products are exempt from PPRS payments though still included in the overall limit on growth and the payments made by industry as a whole. This creates a strong in-built incentive in the scheme for companies to innovate.</p><p> </p><p><br> In respect of England, the anticipated PPRS payments for 2014-15 were passed on to NHS England through the Mandate and as such were included within commissioner allocations. In addition, an indicative budget for NHS England for 2015-16 was set on the basis of, amongst other things, the PPRS payment forecast available in 2014. <br> <br> In accordance with normal Government accounting rules and the agreed PPRS, there is no separately identified or ring-fenced funding stream associated with PPRS payments. Nevertheless, the Government can provide an assurance that all PPRS payments received for England will be used for spending on improving patients’ health and care. As part of this, following discussion with the Department, NHS England and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry are now pressing ahead with plans to improve access to and optimise the use of medicines to improve patient outcomes.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>More generally, the Government’s <em>Strategy for UK Life Sciences</em> sets out an ambitious long-term programme of action to improve the wider environment for pharmaceutical innovation and make the United Kingdom a world-leading place for life sciences investment. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/11/2014 answer text <p>This Government has taken a number of major steps to strengthen monitoring and regulation of the banking sector.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Financial Services Act 2012 put in place two new, properly focussed financial regulators, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) - a subsidiary of the Bank of England - the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), as part of a new approach to financial regulation. The new regulators started work on 1 April 2013.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government’s new approach to financial regulation enables the PRA to concentrate on monitoring the health of UK banks to ensure that they are prudently and competently managed and to reduce the risk that the practices of UK banks will lead to serious financial failure. At the same time, the FCA can concentrate on monitoring the practices of UK banks and other financial services businesses in their dealing with ordinary retail customers and in wholesale financial markets, to reduce the risk that the practices in the banking sector are detrimental to consumers or competition, or threaten the integrity of financial markets.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>On 12 June 2014, the Government announced the Fair and Effective Markets Review, which is a joint review by HM Treasury, the Bank of England, and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) into the way wholesale financial markets operate. The Government is determined to take action to help restore trust and integrity and to ensure that the highest standards are expected of those who operate in these markets. It is important that this is done in a way that preserves the UK’s position as the global financial centre for many of these markets. The Review will enable quality and sustainable housing developments to be brought forward more easily but without compromising essential safety and accessibility protections. The outcome of the Review also means that a number of the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes will be consolidated into the Building Regulations, which would require substantial changes to the content of the current Code, as well as reconsideration of its role. So in the light of this, the Government stated in the recent technical consultation that the current Code will be wound down to coincide with the changes incorporating the new standards coming into force, early in the new year. This includes the £122 million additional borrowing allocated to 22 councils to help them build new affordable homes and support local growth. We will make further announcements of additional borrowing to local councils later in the year. This is only possible thanks to the decisive action we have taken to reduce the deficit left by the last Labour Government. Further details of the actions we have taken recently to support house building, amongst other departmental work, are set out in the written statement made on13 October 2014 (Official Report, Written Ministerial Statements, Column 2WS).</p><p> </p><p>All new homes have to meet Building Regulations’ requirements and in April strengthened energy performance standards came into effect. In the Housing Standards Review, the Government is streamlining the technical standards which apply to new housing development and consolidating as far as possible necessary requirements into Building Regulations to ensure new homes are sustainable.
