Ensuring that landlords and letting agents are aware of their responsibilities can only be of benefit to all tenants. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2014 answer text <p>The How to Rent guide which was published on 10 June 2014, has been viewed on the gov.uk website over 30,000 times and is promoted by a large number of organisations (included Shelter and Citizens Advice) on their websites. We have also used social media to raise awareness of the guide and wrote to all MPs in England asking them to promote the guide amongst their constituents. If, under current arrangements, parents cannot agree who should receive the support, they are just as unlikely to agree about how the payments should be split where more formal arrangements exist.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Directing payment of Child Tax Credit to the person mainly responsible for looking after the children ensures that the money goes to the person most likely to be providing day to day care. Ofcom auctioned 800 MHz and 2600 MHz spectrum in January/February 2013 for 4G mobile broadband services including for a licence won by Telefonica O2 which included a coverage obligation to reach 98% of the UK population indoors by the end of 2017. All four mobile network operators had launched 4G mobile broadband services by the end of 2013 and all are aiming to reach 98% of the UK population by the end of 2015.</p><p>According to Ofcom’s Infrastructure Report 2013 Update, over 99% of UK premises were served by at least one operator offering 3G services, with almost 80% of premises served by all operators. That report did not provide figures for 4G mobile broadband coverage although EE claims coverage of over 75% of the UK population with its 4G services. The code not only explains what is legally required when letting and managing property in the private sector, but also provides a model for best practice. Members of any organisations which have signed up to this code agree to abide by its contents, giving tenants assurance of a good service, driving up standards in the sector.
