These are matters for NHS England’s Cancer Drugs Fund clinical panel.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The panel plans to meet on 15 and 16 December to assess, on the basis of the latest evidence, whether certain drugs should continue to be made routinely available to new patients through the Fund and to consider a number of new drugs for potential addition to the Fund.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In making such decisions, the panel will take into account a number of factors, including unmet need.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>NHS England has assured the Department that no patient whose treatment is currently being funded through the Fund will have funding withdrawn, as long as it is clinically appropriate that they continue to receive that treatment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2014 answer text <p>The Prescribed Specialised Services Advisory Group (PSSAG) is a Department of Health appointed expert committee which was established in 2013 to provide the Secretary of State with advice and recommendations on Specialised Services. PSSAG meets multiple times a year. PSSAG met and formulated its recommendations on 30 September 2014. PSSAG felt that renal dialysis services no longer met the criteria for specialised commissioning and the responsibility for commissioning the service should be transferred to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>NHS England has advised that they are in dialogue with key stakeholders about both the opportunities and challenges of transferring responsibility for renal services. The head of the Specialised Services Task Force in NHS England recently met stakeholders from renal service representative groups and heard their concerns directly. A new Task &amp; Finish group is being established by NHS England through the NHS Commissioning Assembly. This group will look specifically at what support CCGs would require to be able to safely and effectively commission services devolved to them.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department has launched a public consultation to consider how to transfer commissioning responsibility and what would need to happen to ensure a smooth transition and maintain both service standards and patient safety. Nevertheless, the Government can provide an assurance that all PPRS payments received for England will be used for spending on improving patients’ health and care. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/11/2014 answer text <p>There are no official statistics on the number of vacancies for any profession or group in the National Health Service following the decommissioning of the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) vacancy survey in 2011.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The HSCIC only provides statistics relating to locum consultants in clinical radiology that have a fixed term or permanent contract with an organisation. PIP was introduced in April 2013 to replace disability living allowance (DLA) for working age people (between 16 and 64 years old) and operates an entirely separate assessment from the work capability assessment used for ESA claims. From October 2013 we have begun inviting some existing claimants of DLA to claim PIP.
