<p>The government’s intention is to introduce legislation to ensure developers of new build homes belong to a New Homes Ombudsman. We have recently consulted on the design and delivery of a New Homes Ombudsman. The consultation closed in August and we are analysing the responses and will respond in due course. We will continue to work with industry and consumer groups to strengthen consumer protection for new build homeowners before legislation is put in place.</p>
