answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/09/2019 answer text <p>Information about biometric enrolment timescales for UKVCAS customers is publicised to applicants as part of the online application process on GOV.UK.</p><p>If the applicant does not enrol biometrics within this period they are sent a reminder and are given a further period in which to enrol.</p><p>If the applicant does not enrol their biometrics within these timescales their application is deemed as invalid and could be rejected. Prior to any action to reject the application UKVI would check to confirm whether an appointment to enrol has been booked. Metamizole magnesium is authorised in Spain, Portugal and Poland (as a generic medicine and under various brand names including Nolotil in Spain and Portugal and Pyralgina in Poland). The medicine has not been licensed for use in the United Kingdom.</p><p>As with all medicines, the safety of metamizole is kept under close review within the EU. A European review was conducted last year to assess all data available concerning the maximum daily dose and its contraindications on pregnancy and breastfeeding. This review was completed in December 2018 and led to agreement of harmonised information on the maximum dose to be used and that it should not be used during the third trimester of pregnancy. It was also recommended that use during breast-feeding should be avoided. As a result, consistent warnings will be available in the product information for patients and healthcare professionals within each country where authorised for use.</p><p>A recent evaluation by the European Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee noted reports of cases of agranulocytosis (lowered white blood cell count) which had occurred in UK residents in Spain. Agranulocytosis is a known risk of metamizole and is described in the product information for healthcare professionals. However, based on the review of available data, the Spanish Medicines Agency has taken further action to strengthen the warnings with regards to the risk of agranulocytosis. We are also aware that in October 2018 a communication was issued to healthcare professionals in Spain reminding them of this risk and the need to advise patients of the signs and symptoms and to avoid use in patients who have risk factors for agranulocytosis.</p><p>All medicines are supplied with information for patients which contain information on all known side effects and those signs and symptoms which they need to be aware of. Schools and teachers themselves can determine which examples and topics to use to stimulate and challenge pupils and reflect key points in history.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, there is scope within the citizenship curriculum to highlight relevant key historical events. A high-quality citizenship education helps to provide pupils with knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare them to play a full and active part in society. The Department expects schools to go beyond the core knowledge set out in the shorter programmes of study to deliver other aspects of citizenship. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2019 answer text <p>A consultation on the detail of extending reform of the off-payroll rules closed in May and the Government will publish its response in due course. The Government is considering the responses to that consultation, which will be taken into account in the design of the draft Finance Bill legislation which will be published on 11 July.</p><p> </p><p>The off-payroll working rules (commonly known as IR35) are designed to ensure that individuals who work like employees pay broadly the same income tax and national insurance contributions (NICs) as employees, regardless of the structure they work through. The rules have been in place since 2000.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC data shows non-compliance with these rules is widespread. To address this, the Government is extending the previous reforms for the public sector to all medium and large organisations from April 2020. This reform will ensure better compliance with the rules. It does not introduce a new tax.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC have measured the impact of reforming the off-payroll rules in the public sector and estimate the reform has already raised an additional £550 million in income tax and NICs in the first 12 months since it was introduced. Improvements will be made to language and presentation and include guidance to ensure questions are clearly understood.
