answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2015 answer text <p>New figures released by the Office for National Statistics show that the gender pay gap in the UK remains the lowest on record.</p><br /><p>There are now also more women on FTSE Boards and running businesses than ever before, and this year the UK was ranked as the best place in Europe for female entrepreneurs.</p><br /><p>I am proud of our achievements, but recognise there is still more we must do. This is why the government is introducing new regulations that will require larger employers to publish their gender pay gap information. We support the British Film Institute's (BFI) newly launched £1 million Diversity Fund, which works to provide professional development opportunities to people from underrepresented groups, as well as funding to organisations that are looking to support diversity projects. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/12/2015 answer text <p>Anyone, including disabled people, can apply for financial and practical help through the Government’s Start Up Loans scheme.</p><br /><p>Access to Work, which helps people with a disability or health condition to stay in work or start work, now features a new specialist self-employment team to support entrepreneurs and the self-employed.</p><br /><p>Unemployed potential entrepreneurs, including those with disabilities or health conditions, can talk to their Jobcentre Plus Work Coach, or where appropriate, Disability Employment Adviser (DEA), regarding national programmes like Work Choice, Work Programme and the new Specialist Employability Support. These programmes offer tailored services which can include practical support and advice for becoming self-employed.</p><br /><p>Work coaches can also refer claimants, including disabled clients, to the New Enterprise Allowance (NEA). Over 73,000 new businesses have started up through the scheme and 20% of NEA business starts have been made by disabled people. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/12/2015 answer text <p>The government has made significant progress to date in reducing borrowing – the deficit has more than halved as a share of GDP since 2009-10 and the national debt as a share of GDP is forecast to be falling this year. But the job is not yet done - the deficit remains high among advanced economies.</p><br /><p>At Summer Budget the government announced £17 billion of consolidation measures; £5 billion from tax avoidance, evasion and imbalances in the tax system and £12 billion from welfare reform. Through studying topics such as computational logic, algorithms and data representation, pupils are obtaining insight into how the digital technologies that they use every day actually work<del class="ministerial"> and understanding how these technology products result from human ingenuity and rational design processes</del>. We want young people to have the opportunity to<del class="ministerial"> actively </del>create new technologies, rather than being passive consumers of them.</p><p>The Government has spent more than £4.5 million over the past three years to support schools in delivering high quality computing teaching.
