<p>This Government established the What Works Network in March 2013 and has since
created a number of additional What Works Centres. The latest Centre to be developed
is the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, where initial funding of over £3.5 million
has been committed beyond the lifetime of this Parliament. In July 2013 the Government
appointed Dr David Halpern to be the What Works National Adviser. The What Works National
Adviser is supported by the Cabinet Office and is responsible for the development
of the What Works Network.</p><p> </p><p>The What Works Centres are giving national
and local level decision makers and public service professionals the frameworks and
tools to help deliver more cost effective services.</p><p> </p>
