As well as ensuring specific references to the situation in Kachin in the UN Human Rights Council’s resolution on Human Rights in March 2018, the UK has recently agreed funding in Kachin with a local partner for food, shelter, education and sanitation responses for up to 2,600 people. We are also in discussions with partners regarding funding for those affected in Karen state and will continue to urge all parties to abide by the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement.
more like this

The OPCW asked the Government of Sudan, as a State Party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, to share all relevant information and offered its assistance in any investigation. The Sudanese authorities reported to the OPCW that their national investigations came across no evidence of chemical weapon use in the Jebel Marra region. answer text
The decision document states:

“Whilst the [Environment] Agency is confident that current monitoring techniques will capture the fine particle fraction (PM2.5) for inclusion in a measurement of total particulate matter, a permit condition has been included that will require a full analysis of particle size distribution in the flue gas, and hence determine the ratio of fine to coarse particles.”

The reason for this statement is that total particulate matter (TPM) includes PM2.5 as well as particulates of other sizes and therefore by monitoring TPM emissions, emissions of PM2.5 will also be captured.
more like this
