The October 2012 HM Revenue & Customs report modelling the effects of price differentials at UK airports did not examine the potential effect of a UK wide reduction in Air Passenger Duty. Figure 3 of the report provides a reading of the change in passenger numbers at a selection of English airports, on the advent of 50 per cent reduction in Air Passenger Duty at Scottish Airports. The report does not discuss the effect on aircraft movements and available destinations at these airports.
