For the 2023/24 pay round, the Government accepted the headline pay recommendations of the PRBs in full for the armed forces, teachers, prison officers, police, the judiciary, medical workforces, and senior civil servants, which has resulted in the highest pay uplifts in three decades. We have ensured that these PRB awards will not be paid for through borrowing.
