answer text <p>Compensation arrangements are already provided through The Gas (Street Works) (Compensation of Small Businesses) Regulations 1996 and the Water Industry Act 1991, which provide for compensation to be paid in certain circumstances in respect of loss or damage caused by gas-related and water-related street works. answer text <p>The Department for Transport (DfT) works closely with the UK CAA, international partners (including the Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency(EASA)) and industry experts to assess the risk to civil aviation from a range of security threats, including cyber-attacks.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The growing complexity, connectivity and interdependence of aviation systems means that cyber security is increasingly becoming a factor in the design and operation of aircraft and air traffic control systems. As with all potential security risks, we keep this situation under regular review to ensure we and industry understand the nature and size of the problem and can put in place appropriate security measures and practices.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The CAA monitors in service reports on safety issues, including cyber threats, and works closely with DfT and EASA to determine the appropriate responses and actions. The CAA, in conjunction with other authorities, also monitors the design of aircraft and aircraft systems for robustness against cyber threats and, where necessary, specific certification requirements related to cyber security are levied on aircraft designers and manufacturers.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>DfT also participates in the National Cyber Security Programme, led by Cabinet Office, which includes a range of activities with industry aimed at improving the protection of critical infrastructure – including aviation. This work involves the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) and other relevant parts of government.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p>It is for toll operators to decide the toll equipment (such as Fast Tag at the Mersey Tunnels) they deploy on their roads and crossings based on operational needs. We are, however, supportive of toll facilities which ensure compliance and can avoid unnecessary delay for motorists.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We also support interoperability for tolled crossings where this makes sense for road users, but this should not put additional costs on other road users who will not benefit from interoperability.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>HS2 will help to promote economic growth and drive regional regeneration by bringing our major cities closer together, supporting job creation across the country.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>HS2 Ltd’s &quot;HS2 Regional Economic Impacts&quot; report published in September 2013 makes a first attempt at quantifying the regional impacts of HS2. The report suggests that the increase in connectivity delivered by HS2 would make the economy more productive and thereby increase annual GDP in the West Midlands by between £1.5bn and £3.1bn.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p /> <p>HS2 will directly create construction jobs in the West Midlands, as a result of the construction of the line, the Birmingham Curzon Street station, the Birmingham Interchange station and the Washwood Heath Depot. The detailed breakdown of where the construction jobs will be located is publicly available in the Environmental statement for HS2 Phase 1 (Vol. 2), published in 2013.</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p> </p>

In accordance with the terms of the agreement, the loan facility is subject to amendment and is currently set at £30.175 billion. This is the maximum Network Rail can draw down, and includes a £1.8 billion risk buffer.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>3.
