The Council is continuing to work in collaboration with Transport for Wales, Network Rail, the Cheshire and Warrington LEP, other regional partners and my officials to assemble the additional evidence needed to finalise the SOBC.</p><p> </p><p>There is no confirmed timescale for regional partners’ completion of that work, and therefore for any submission or decision on inclusion of a scheme in the RNEP, or for forecast delivery of any works proposed subject to subsequent funding decisions. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/11/2021 answer text <p>Government is going further and faster to decarbonise transport by phasing out the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, and, from 2035, all new cars and vans must be zero emissions at the tailpipe.</p><p> </p><p>As recommended by the Committee for Climate Change, and in order to deliver these phases out dates, Government announced in the Net Zero Strategy that it will introduce a zero emission vehicle mandate, setting targets for a percentage of manufacturers' new car and van sales to be zero emission each year from 2024.</p><p> </p><p>Government grants for plug in vehicles continue to be available to help reduce the up-front purchase price of electric cars, vans, trucks, motorbikes and taxis. There are also grants available to support the installation of chargepoints at homes, workplaces, on residential streets and along motorways and major A roads. Building on the £1.9bn from Spending Review 2020, the Government has recently committed an additional £620m to support the transition to electric vehicles. The decision to expand the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) was made by the Mayor in June 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has provided over £4bn to keep London’s transport system moving through the pandemic. These funding agreements move TfL towards a financially sustainable future in a way that is fair to national taxpayers. The latest TfL funding deal did not require the Mayor to implement the expanded ULEZ. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2021 answer text <p>The majority of taxi and PHV drivers are self-employed and were therefore able to apply for grants through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) before the scheme closed on 30 September 2021.</p><p> </p><p>Drivers of taxis and private hire vehicles may also have been eligible for other sources of support, including locally administered grant funding. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2021 answer text <p>The Department for Transport Annual Bus Statistics include information on what proportion of buses used by local operators in England are electric or diesel-hybrid. These figures cover all operators who run local bus services, including those who also do non-local work (e.g. private hire, school contracts). Operators who do solely non-local work are excluded. Local bus services include school services that are accessible to the general public, school services where the service cannot be used by fare-paying members of the public at bus stops are not included.</p><p> </p><p>The Annual bus statistics: year ending March 2020 show as at March 2020, two per cent of buses used by local operators in England were electric and 14 per cent were diesel-hybrid. The Annual bus statistics: year ending March 2021 are due to be published on 3rd November 2021.</p><p> </p><p>As set out in the Autumn Budget and Spending Review 2021 £355 million of new funding has been made available for zero emission buses.
