answer text <p>At all stages of the pandemic the UK Government has sought to work constructively with the devolved administration in Scotland and will continue to do so.</p><p>HM Treasury made an unprecedented upfront guarantee to the devolved administrations, guaranteeing Scotland would receive at least £7.2 billion in additional funding this year on top of their Budget 2020 funding. This gives Scotland the budget certainty for coronavirus response in the months ahead.</p><p>In addition, the UK Government has taken substantial action to rescue the economy from the shock of the COVID-19 pandemic, including through the Plan for Jobs, published in July.</p><p>In September, the Chancellor announced a targeted package of measures in his Winter Economic Plan to support jobs and business through the winter months, by supporting businesses to keep staff on through the introduction of a new Job Support Scheme and an extension to the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) Grant.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK Government is working actively with the maritime sector to support decarbonisation at both international and domestic level. My office works closely with the Department for Transport which leads on this work, and which is focussing on supporting the decarbonisation of the industry throughout the whole of the UK. Officials from my office and DfT are meeting regularly with their counterparts in HMT.</p><p> </p><p>Domestically, the UK Government has published research exploring the opportunities and challenges arising from decarbonisation and this will provide the sector with greater clarity on what is required to achieve decarbonisation. In support of this, the Department for Transport has provided £1.5m of grants through Maritime Research and Innovation UK, supporting clean maritime innovation throughout the UK.</p><p> </p><p>Internationally, we are working with other high ambition states and the sector to develop and adopt pragmatic, effective, short and medium term measures that will peak and reduce emissions from the sector.</p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

answer text <p>The UK Government continues to work with the Scottish Government and provide support where it is needed.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to the six drive-in sites, and eighteen mobile units, the recently opened walk-in testing centre in St Andrews is also helping to provide significant support and resource for testing capacity in Scotland, in addition to NHS Scotland’s own capacity.</p><p> </p><p>It is for the Scottish Government to decide policy for the use of that capacity.</p> more like this
