answer text <p>My Rt Hon Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade recently appointed the first ever HM Trade Commissioner for Africa, to champion trade between the UK and Africa. In Kenya, we are promoting bilateral trade opportunities in many areas, including infrastructure and energy.</p><p>The Department for International Trade works closely with the British Chamber of Commerce in Kenya, which works to support UK companies seeking to enter and grow in the market.</p><p>The full range of UK Export Finance support is available for UK exports to Kenya, with financing available in Kenyan Shilling for purchases from UK exporters.</p><p>Senior level talks on the bilateral trading relationship are ongoing to ensure continuity in market access arrangements post-EU exit.</p> more like this

answer text <p>My Department has actively supported the Global Vehicle Trust (GVT) in promoting the OX, and in seeking investors and manufacturing partners. This support included helping arrange for the OX to be displayed at the Low Carbon Vehicle show at Millbrook, Bedfordshire in 2016, and introducing GVT to potential international partners at the show; and discussions in 2017 between our Post in India and potential local partners. My Department continues to offer its support to this project.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As announced in the Industrial Strategy, My noble Friend the Minister for State for Trade and Export Promotion (Baroness Fairhead) will lead the creation of a new export strategy. Reporting in spring 2018, the Export Strategy review will ensure that the government has the right financial, practical and promotional support in place for new and existing exporters to sell overseas as we leave the EU. My noble Friend will be engaging with a number of government departments across Whitehall.</p><p>In addition to our existing services, we are already piloting intensive export growth support for potential scale-ups and particularly ambitious medium sized businesses.</p> more like this

In addition, our digital platform GREAT.GOV.UK provides access to millions of pounds’ worth of business opportunities; and provides a searchable export directory to match businesses.</p><p> </p><p>UK Export Finance (UKEF) offers finance and credit insurance to Scottish businesses to ensure no viable export fails. answer text <p>The Department for International Trade (DIT) does not publish export data on a constituency or a country level. Nevertheless, DIT can identify that Scottish companies have used DIT export support programmes including the Tradeshow Access Programme, services accessed through the great.gov.uk digital platform, activities in the High Value Campaigns and commissioned Overseas Market Information Services. Companies such as Alexander Dennis have also utilised UK Export Finance support such as their recent contract to supply buses to Mexico.</p> more like this
