answer text
The UK is a strong supporter of the rules-based multilateral trading system and global trade liberalisation.

The WTO is the bedrock of rules-based free trade. The UK welcomed the commitment made at the G20 Summit last year in December to support the necessary reform of the WTO to improve its functioning. Following the UK’s departure from the EU, the UK will continue to champion discussions on WTO reform, and engage with WTO Members at international fora and in our bilateral engagements, in particular on the importance of updating rules on digital trade and ensuring that the WTO dispute settlement system is not undermined. G20 Leaders are committed to return to this matter at their Summit in June.
more like this
