answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/03/2019 answer text <p>When we leave the EU, we will maintain our current domestic levels of protection for consumers, the environment and animal welfare. We will keep our existing UK legislation, and the EU Withdrawal Act will convert EU law into UK law as it applies at the moment of exit.</p><p> </p><p>We are clear that more trade should not come at the expense of the high levels of protection we enjoy in the UK. The UK’s outstanding reputation for quality is what drives demand for UK goods and is key to our long-term prosperity. We have completed four online public consultations on potential future trade agreement negotiations with the USA, Australia, New Zealand and on the UK Government potentially seeking accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
