answer text <p>The Department does not hold estimates of the number of people living in accommodation that is unsuitable for their health needs or disabilities throughout the UK, in Greater London or in the London Borough of Lambeth</p><p><br> However, the Department publishes national statistics on social housing that is owned and managed by local authorities in England. Every local authority is required to have an allocation scheme for determining priorities and the procedure to be followed in allocating housing accommodation. answer text <p>The data collection exercise launched on 18 July 2019 is part of an ongoing programme of work to enable the Department to build a more complete picture of high-rise residential buildings and the variety of external wall systems in use Government is collecting data on all external wall systems. The Government is collecting data on all external wall systems on residential buildings 18 metres and above, covering private and social (both local authority and housing association) stock, hotels and student accommodation. The data exercise is structured in such a way that additional questions could be added in the future if this would develop our data set to support this work. <br> <br> There remains a duty for those responsible for buildings to maintain safety of a premises (so far as the requirements are under their control) under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and the Housing Act.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is collecting data on all external wall systems on residential buildings 18 metres and above. This exercise covers private and social (both local authority and housing association) stock, hotels and student accommodation.</p><p>The Government requests that local authorities and housing associations complete the data collection by 31 March 2020. We have published a technical note (18 July) to aid local authorities and housing associations in identifying the details of external wall systems. We are aiming to provide financial support to local authorities in the form of New Burdens funding. We will publish appropriate summary information from the data collection in our monthly Building Safety Programme data release when ready.</p> more like this
