No further spending has occurred since this statement was made. We intend to lay the regulations before Parliament in due course.</p><p>While we develop these regulations the Government continues to focus on restoring the dream of home ownership to the hard working people who are struggling to get on the housing ladder. We know more needs to be done to protect consumers.</p><p>We have announced our intention for a New Homes Ombudsman to be established and I am considering options for a shadow ombudsman. We will be bringing forward legislation to require developers to belong to a New Homes Ombudsman, which will treat home buyers fairly. We’ll soon be consulting on the details of how this will work - to raise standards and ensure that problems encountered by consumers are resolved faster and more effectively.</p><p>We will also establish the condition that housing developers must belong to a New Homes Ombudsman to participate in the new Help to Buy Scheme in England, post 2021. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/05/2019 answer text <p>Our revised National Planning Policy Framework, published in July 2018, asks local authorities to support development whose primary objective is to conserve or enhance biodiversity. Opportunities to incorporate biodiversity improvements in and around developments should also be encouraged, especially where this can secure measurable net gains for biodiversity. These gains could include the safeguarding of established trees or bird populations, access to new green space, and provision of green infrastructure such as swift bricks or hedgehog highways. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/04/2019 answer text <p>The National Planning Policy Framework makes clear that full fibre connections to existing and new developments should be supported by local planning policies, and that developments should be designed to allow the charging of electric vehicles in safe, accessible and convenient locations.</p><p>Part R of Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations sets requirements for the physical infrastructure for high-speed electronic communications networks for new buildings or when major renovation works are undertaken. Guidance is given in Approved Document R.</p><p>In the Government's Road to Zero Strategy, we committed to consulting on introducing new Building Regulations requirements for electric vehicle charging provision for both domestic and non-domestic buildings. These policies should be informed by evidence on infrastructure need and cost and viability assessments. I have asked officials to explore strengthening our existing planning guidance to emphasise the importance of integrated communities and help prevent this kind of thing from ever happening again.</p><p>MHCLG has been consulting widely on the question of stigma including through the Social Housing Green Paper. Many people living in England’s social homes told us they feel ignored and stigmatised and the Green Paper committed to tackling this.
