<p>The Government supports the second devolution deal for the West Midlands which envisaged incorporating the role and powers of the PCC into the Mayoralty.</p><p>A two-stage public consultation is being carried out locally to seek views on the transfer. The conduct of the consultation is a matter for the West Midlands Combined Authority.</p>
