We have provided millions of pounds of extra investment through the Police Transformation Fund to transform policing to respond to changing crimes and threats including crimes against vulnerable people such as child sexual abuse.</p><p> </p><p>The 2015 Spending Review protected overall police spending in real terms. We are undertaking a programme of engagement with the police to understand the impact of changing demands<strong>, </strong>and to hear how the police are managing these. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2017 answer text <p>The Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme will resettle up to 3,000 at-risk children and their families by 2020, but it is not possible to say what proportion of these will be children.</p><p>We continue to work closely with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to identify appropriate cases, prioritising the most vulnerable. The numbers resettled in a particular period will depend on a range of factors including the flow of referrals from UNHCR in the field and the availability of suitable accommodation in the UK. Our approach is centred on four key strands – early intervention and prevention, working with the police on operations and enforcement, work with retailers on responsible sales and work on the legislative framework. As part of this wide approach, on 18 July the Government announced its intention to consult on a number of proposals to tackle knife crime . The consultation respond to concerns about how some retailers are selling knives online. For example, approximately 38 police forces in England have access to a Street Triage service – where mental health professionals accompany police officers on patrol and all forces have access to mental health partners who provide advice and support them in dealing with the public. They must also include a link to the slavery and human trafficking statement in a prominent place on their website’s homepage. <br><br>Where a business uncovers slavery or trafficking in their supply chains they will be encouraged to report their concerns or findings to the relevant authorities in that jurisdiction.
