The UK has a comprehensive range of terrorism offences and other powers, which we consider the most appropriate means of dealing with foreign terrorist fighters. Additionally, the Government has just passed the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act, which updates terrorism offences and introduces new powers, to reflect the threat we face today from foreign terrorist fighters. The Government is clear that we will not tolerate a practice that can cause extreme and lifelong suffering to women and girls.</p><p>The Home Office’s FGM unit is driving a step change in our nationwide out-reach on FGM. The Unit is providing outreach support to local areas and working to raise awareness of resources available to professionals, including training, best practice examples and information on legislation and policy. Resources include an e-learning package, various communication materials such as leaflets and posters highlighting the legislation and health impacts of FGM and an online resource pack for local areas. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/05/2019 answer text <p>The Home Office has introduced the EU Settlement Scheme to enable all qualifying EEA and Swiss citizens, and their family members, to obtain an immigration status in the UK.</p><p>Obtaining settled status (indefinite leave to remain) under the scheme will ensure EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members have no immigration conditions placed on their residence in the UK, provided they remain resident here. This status will protect, and enable them to demonstrate, their rights to work, education, healthcare, and access to benefits and public services in the UK in line with UK nationals.
